What is IDC and how does it work?

The IDC rates electric vehicle driving range. It uses a dynamic test cycle with each cycle lasting 108s. The cycles are repeated until the vehicle is unable to meet the required acceleration and speed needed to complete the cycle. The test is conducted as per the requirement stated under Annex II of the CMVR notified by the Government of India. Testing is carried out under ideal conditions using a chassis dynamometer, with the aim of making the conditions as close to the real world as possible. Testing is performed at different speeds and includes stops, acceleration, and braking.

IDC aims to test vehicles under conditions that are realistic and mimic on-road performance; however, it does not cover all possible variations. The vehicle's actual range depends on many factors, including the environment and personal riding habits. For example, one rider might accelerate faster and brake more suddenly than another who may ride more conservatively. While IDC testing aims to be based on real-world performance, it still uses a specific test cycle that is reproducible and repeatable by any testing facility with any vehicle. Because all manufacturers must use the exact same testing conditions, the main purpose of the IDC is to allow for realistic comparison of range between electric vehicles from different manufacturers.

Ultraviolette provides a standard charger that is capable of adding up to 35 km per hour of charge. An optional Boost charger is available for upgrade at the time of purchase. The Boost charger can add up to 75 km per hour per charge. The chargers do require a 15 Amp socket with proper earthing to function. The F77 also supports charging from the ever-growing public charging infrastructure. The motorcycle is equipped with an IEC 62196-6 connector capable of fast charging.

The F77 has been regularly tested across various terrains and weather conditions. Additionally, our battery systems and other electronics are rated IP67, so you can be rest assured the F77 can tackle most weather conditions with ease.

The F77 has been designed to be used in the most rugged conditions, and chain drives are more suited for this. Chain drives are also more efficient than belts. Chain drives are easily repaired while compared to a belt which is about 10x more expensive to replace!

The severity of any impact would depend on the nature of the crash. Ultraviolette prioritizes rider safety in all unlikely scenarios through multiple levels of safety. The motorcycle and battery come with multiple fail-safe mechanisms, ensuring the vehicle will shut off to protect itself from any abnormal functionality post the crash. The vehicle is equipped with crash detection sensors capable of sending an SOS to your emergency contact. Be rest assured, the F77 comes equipped with sensors that detect any abnormal state of the vehicle.

Unlike IC engine vehicles, the F77 has very few moving parts. Apart from the regular wear and tear parts like the brake pads, chain sprocket, tires, and some rubber parts, the motorcycle is mostly maintenance-free. Visit your nearest UV Hangar every 5000 km or 6 months for scheduled maintenance.

The F77 has one of the most sophisticated battery packs and systems in the world. The simplest way to preserve a battery is to leave your vehicle plugged in for charging when you are planning to not use the vehicle for a prolonged period.

The F77 is designed and tested across some of the harshest environments. While the battery packs are designed to operate from 0°C to 55°C, the smart battery management system is programmed to take the necessary measures to protect the battery pack under all circumstances.

After the booking, unless the full payment has been made, you can change your ownership details, variant or color by getting in touch with our customer support team. Once invoiced, ownership details can only be changed only at the time of resale. The F77 Limited Edition model is subject to availability of stock.

Electric vehicles having less than 250W of peak power and the ones that have a top speed of 25 kmph do not require a driver's license or number plate registration. The F77 is a very powerful vehicle, capable of producing 31kW peak motor power. All F77 pilots definitely need a license to fly.
